Walk description

Meeting in the car park at Worsbrough Bridge Country Park, the walk then starts off in a Westerly direction crossing the M1 and down into Broom Royd Wood before heading for Stainborough Park, stopping for a short lunch break near to the Duke of Argyle Monument.

We then continue up to Wentworth Castle past the large herd of deer normally at the top of the park. We then head back towards Worsbrough Bridge via a footbridge over the M1, a short section of the Trans Pennine Trail and the path alongside the northerly section of Worsbrough Reservoir. De-brief after in the Strafford Arms pub which is a short drive from the meeting point.

The walk is around 6 miles in length and should take around 3 hours including a short stop for refreshments.
