More Hall and Broomhead Reservoirs from Wharncliffe Crags, Wharncliffe, Sheffield, South Yorkshire

Walk description

This walk of up to 6.5 miles follows paved roads, farm tracks and footpaths and provides lovely views of Wharncliffe Crags, Ewden Valley and Green Moor. There is one short uphill section shortly after the start, but otherwise it follows the contour line around the hillside to Bolsterstone village and along to Hungerhill. The route continues gently up to the Trig Point on Whitwell Moor for views over Rhododendron Valley. We then retrace our steps back to the Castle Inn for a drink, before a short 15 – 20 minute downhill walk, back to our cars.
