Walk description

Please note: This is an evening walk.

We start at Washfield Lane, Treeton. Walking by Treeton Dyke which has a variety of waterfowl, we reach Retford Road at Woodhouse Mill. After a short walk on the side of Retford Road, we cross over the recreation ground to pick up the path which takes us to Orgreave lakes with the chance of seeing more wildlife. At the end of Orgreave Lakes we take a footbridge over the River Rother and then another bridge which has approximately 20 steps on either side over the railway to get us back to our cars.

This walk has a variety of wildlife by the side of, and on Treeton Dyke and Orgreave Lakes. It is a predominately flat walk (one bridge with 20 steps to climb) that consists of wide paths through open grassland and woods with a little pavement walking.
