Walk description
Meeting in the car park on Woodhead Road, Grenoside, we head out over Wharncliffe Chase before turning sharp left on a path across the Chase to the top of Wharncliffe Crags, stopping for a short lunch break on the rocks before heading down towards Wharncliffe Woods. We return via a narrow path through the woods which is fairly tricky with numerous rocks, tree roots and muddy puddles.
De-brief after in the Old Red Lion pub in Grenoside.
The walk is 5 miles in length and should take around 2 1/2 hours including a stop for refreshments.
