Walk description

The walk will take us around the two Waverley Lakes, this was originally the site of the Orgreave Coking Plant. Today, it is a haven for wild birds and other wildlife plus great views of the surrounding area (good photo opportunities). Our walk starts at The Winter Green pub, we will then follow the main road (Highfield Spring) until we reach the lakes. We will follow the mainly man made paths around the lakes and then make our return to the starting point via the Waverley Housing Estate.
