Wednesday Walk

Concord Park, Woolley Wood and Barber Wood

We start the walk from the car park on paths through the park where Keppel’s Column and Wentworth Church can be seen in the distance. We drop down to the car park at the opposite end of Concord Park where we pick up a stepped steep decent through Woolley Wood. Once on the level we continue through the wood heading towards Deep Lane. We cross a main road to pick up Grange Lane and continue up (no pavement) to a right turn heading towards Thundercliff Grange. From here we follow a path through Barber Wood exiting by a path on the right through passage ways to Blackburn Road. There is a little road walking here to get to the TPT trail heading to Wincobank. Once there we cross over the main road again, through Wincobank Park and a final assent through Woolley Wood, the golf course and finally Concord Park back to our starting point.
