From Digley Reservoir we pass through the hamlet of Austonley before descending to the village of Hinchliffe Mill. Here we follow the River Holme to Bottoms Mill. At Bottoms Mill we cross the River Holme and begin a gradual climb towards the hamlet of New Dunsley. A track leads us to Cartworth Fold where after a short section of road we pass by the hamlet of Well House before taking a path that descends steeply to Arrunden where we join another track, arriving eventually at Elysium. At Upper White Gate we skirt the head of Dobb Dike before descending to Tinker Well and Brownhill and Ramsden Reservoirs; a good place to stop for lunch.

Another track takes us across the dam at Riding Wood Reservoir after which we begin a steep descent then ascent of Netherley Clough. The path continues over Netherley before steeply descending to cross Rake Dike at Gill Hey Bridge. We visit the village of Holme and take a path across fields towards Digley Reservoir. Crossing the dam at Bilberry Reservoir we join yet another another track and return to the car park at Digley Reservoir.
