Walk description

Starting from the Robin Hood Inn off the A619 (B6050) we cross the road and over Heathy Lea Brook, rising then to overlook Chatsworth Park. Pausing at The Hunting Tower we then skirt the Emperor Lake before dropping down into Chatsworth House and shops etc. After a break here, we move on through the estate to Baslow. Leaving Baslow, we follow Baslow and Birchin Edges to make our way back to the Robin Hood. Along the way we shall pass Nelson’s Monument to the victory at Trafalgar, Wellington’s Monument to the victory at Waterloo and the Three Ships commemoration. Should be lots of options for lunch stop, so will just look for around 1 hour.

This walk will take approximately 5 hours including lunch stop.
