Walk description
From Shepley, we walk up Long Close Lane, passing farmland and onto a small hamlet, soon crossing the main Penistone Road and heading up Gate Foot Lane. A steep track takes us right with fine views across towards Holmfirth and Huddersfield. A quiet lane then leads to a steep downhill section (a mini Mam Tor broken road!).
From Jackson Bridge, we follow the stream up to Hepworth and walk round to the church, taking a steep path downhill then on towards Scholes. A wooded path leads us back towards Jackson Bridge, then fields lead to New Mill. Sections of quiet road and paths bring us back to the start.
