Walk description
We leave the pub car park heading for Hope along the main road until we reach the River Noe. We then head across fields to Fairfield Farm then on lanes to Thornhill, joining the old railway path to Bamford. We will have a short break at Bamford sports ground then head up to Shatton, on to Brough then back to the Travellers for our Christmas lunch. There are 4 stiles, 4 gates and one squeeze stile. 75% of the walk is on solid ground but gaiters are still recommended. It will take approx 3 hours.
Following the great success of last years Christmas walk and meal at the Travellers Inn at Brough we have booked again for this year.
The arrangements and cost will be similar to last year and will be confirmed nearer to the date.

If you wish to attend your first walk with Sheffield Walkers walking group please contact us a minimum 48 hours before the start of your chosen walk and we will add you to our list of walkers, notify the Walk Leader to expect you, and provide you with details of the meeting point and start time.
