Walk description

Setting off from the car park we cross over the rivers Derwent and Wye via two bridges and then along a quiet lane which leads uphill past the impressive Stanton Woodhouse. Climbing steadily upwards along grassy tracks, quiet lanes and good paths we make our way onto Stanton Moor. Passing the Gray’s Tower folly we cross the moor, enjoying wonderful all-round views before arriving at the Nine Ladies stone circle (good spot for lunch).
Leaving the moor along field, woodland paths and quiet lanes we make the descent back to Rowsley with extensive views along the way.
