View of Rivelin Valley
Rivelin Valley, Sheffield
Date: Sunday, 3rd January 2021
Start time: 10:00
Grade: Moderate / Strenuous
Distance: 8.5 miles
Walk description

The walk starts from the village of Dungworth. We start with a gradual climb along farmland paths and tracks, then down to Corker Walls, for lovely views of the Loxley Valley and High Bradfield. We ascend again through the lovely Royds Clough to Crawshaw Farm and onwards to Rod Side, for views of Rivelin Valley
We then descend through fields, for a short hop along the A57 (on pavement) before ascending again up Onksley Lane to the Flash and a downhill finish via Brookside Bank.

Please note: A few walks have started recently from Dungworth, which is very convenient for parking. This route may duplicate a few paths but there should be plenty of different tracks as well. There are a number of stiles to negotiate and short stretches are guaranteed to be muddy after the recent rainfall.
