Walk description
The walk begins from the National Trust Longshaw Country Park. A combination of open park and moors, dense woodland and a beautiful steep-sided gorge lends great scenic variety to this walk. The final section of the walk take us up lovely Burbage Brook and then back to Longshaw. Add the historic interest of a 19th century hunting lodge, a chapel converted from the remains of a 14th century manor house, and fine panoramic views, and the result is a splendid undemanding ramble that is totally absorbing.
