Walk description
From Litton, we walk downhill out of the village via a footpath which leads to the car park at Tideswell Dale. From here we enter Millers Dale and walk at the side of the river passing Litton Mill then Cressbrook Mill. There is a short uphill road section, before we take a track to our right, passing Ravensdale Cottages to enter Cressbrook Dale. Walking through a woodland section, we come out into a valley and cross a bridge to walk up Tansley Dale. We then cross an open field and follow a farm track, which returns us to the start point.
There are a few stiles and two uphill sections on this walk. Boots and gaitors are essential if there has been any bad weather prior to this walk.
