Walk description

Lots of climbing on this epic walk along Derwent valley and well above on the moorland. We will be walking past several rock formations from Howden to Derwent Edge including: High Stones, Back Tor, Dovestone Tor and White Tor. Some of the most spectacular scenery in the Peak District.

Meeting point and parking
Meeting point: Derwent Overlook Car Park, Derwent Lane, Ashopton, Derbyshire.
Parking: Derwent Overlook Car Park, Derwent Lane, Ashopton (free) or Fairholmes Visitor Centre Car Park P&D. At weekends both car parks are very busy so early arrival is advised.
