Walk description
Starting at St. Helen’s Church we take the path to Froggatt then follow the River Derwent through Calver, Bubnell and on to Baslow. There we ascend Bar Lane to Eaglestone Flat where where we take lunch. We then take the three edge paths (Baslow, Curbar and Froggatt) before making our descent through Hay Wood to our starting point.
The terrain on this walk is mainly on flat paths and lanes with only one climb. The walk follows the course of the River Derwent as far as Baslow.
