Walk description

From Firbeck we walk down a wide footpath and the views open out across farmland and back into Firbeck, we continue into Letwell where there is a grade II Norman Church built in 1375. Continuing across open farmland with far reaching views we enter Laughton-en-le-Morthen and we will have lunch at All Saints Saxon church in Laughton. We carry on out of the village, and pass through Kings Wood on our descent to the site of the 12th century Cistercian monastery Roche Abbey. We will spend a few minutes here for photos and a breather. Continuing to the village of Stone, there is a short section on a quiet road before we make our way back across open farmland to Firbeck.

The walk is predominantly flat. The walk takes us on off road/unmade tracks and across farmland with a little road walking through the villages. There are 2 easy stiles on this walk and a little mud at the start and just after Letwell.
