Walk description
From the lay-by outside Curbar Primary School, we make our way down to and along the River Derwent before passing Townend Wood and turning off across the fields behind Calver. Dropping down to Rymas Brook, we cross the A619 and begin an ascent across fields and along lanes to Pilsley. Turning off the High Street a descent returns us to another section of Rymas Brook and a second crossing of the A619. An ascent beside Toost Bank Wood will include a lunch stop. Post lunch sees our use of field tracks to reach Hassop which we leave via School Lane and on to Bramley Lane. From here woodland trails will return us to Calver.
This walk will take approximately 4 hours.
