Walk description
Starting from Baring Road, the walk ascends into Barber Wood where the terrain flattens. Reaching the top of Barber Wood we cross Wortley Road then enter Barker’s Park. From here it is a short distance on pavement, before we enter Scholes Coppice and a gentle ascent to Keppel’s Column monument. After spending a minute or two to have look at the monument we walk to Wortley Road and follow the pavement to the entrance of Grange Golf Course. Picking up the public footpath through the golf course, we descend into Barber Wood to pick up the path to take us back to the start.
This walk is on woodland and grassy paths with a little walking on pavements.
