Walk description

Starting from Bagger Wood we descend to Crane Moor before climbing via field paths to reach the A629 road. Crossing the A629 we descend towards Huthwaite Hall, circumnavigating the hall we then climb gradually towards our lunch stop at Thurgoland. After Lunch it’s a descent to Berry Moor, to pickup a woodland track and emerge below the village of Hood Green. From here its a well defined path uphill to Hood Green to re-enter Bagger Wood and back to the start.

This is an undulating walk that uses the field paths around Thurgoland. There is a little road walking involved and there are numerous stiles during the walk. Some woodland paths have tree roots across them and are likely to be muddy in places.
