Walk description

The walk will start at the entrance to Wortley Hall, before continuing through a field and a short wood where we cross the road onto a scarcely used tarmac road. Then a series of fields bringing us into Crane Moor and more field walking up to and through Bagger Wood. We then have a short road walk into Hood Green where we will have a stop for drinks and a bite to eat.
The next part of the route follows a footpath for approximately 200yds (this may have nettles either side), taking us onto more field walking and short stretches of woodland.
We then walk on a farm track to more fields and woodland that will bring us onto the track which is the access back to Wortley Hall.

Meeting point and parking
Meeting point: Park Avenue, Wortley, South Yorkshire.
Parking: On-road at Park Avenue near the Post Office. Please note that parking is limited at this location and is likely to be busy at the weekend.
