Walk description
From the quiet village of Winster, we travel to Matlock Bath passing through Darley Bridge and Matlock returning via Bonsall and Upper Town. The first half of this walk takes us through Clough Wood joining the Derwent Valley Heritage Way at Darley Bridge to Matlock. We then climb the Heights of Abraham above the seafront at Matlock Bath. Bring some cash if you want to stop at the Knick Knack shop on the way back to Winster via the Limestone Way. This passes over fields and a fair few kissing gates that will test how much you’ve enjoyed Christmas. This walk includes a few woodland paths so look forward to some glory that is mud.
