Walk description
Please note: This is an evening walk.
Starting from the Rockingham Arms Pub in Wentworth we make our way over fields to reach Kings Wood. Passing through the wood we descend into Elsecar itself, and cross the road into Elsecar Park. At the far end of the park there is some road walking on minor roads to reach Barrow Hill. From here it is over fields back to Coach Road and Wentworth Church to return to our cars.
This walk is about 5 miles in length. It is on good paths throughout, there is a little road walking on mostly pavemented roads. There are two stiles on this walk.
