Walk description

We start with a short walk along the main A6102 to reach More Hall private road which takes us passed the dam wall and along the side of the reservoir. On reaching New Mill Bridge at the end of the reservoir we will have a short refreshments stop. Following this we will walk along the southern side of the reservoir enjoying extensive views across and up towards Bolsterstones. Shortly before reaching the dam wall again, we take a short uphill footpath towards Brightholmlee and then it is all downhill back to our starting point.

A delightful easy 4 miles walk in around 2 hours, mainly level with just one short easy uphill from the reservoir side towards Brightholmlee, and lunch afterwards at the Blue Ball Public House.

Please note: Details of the meal are available at Sheffield Walkers forum.
