Walk description
The route starts from Ecclesfield Park car park, from there we walk up the park and walk towards and cross the road Cross Hill. Taking a footpath down to Hartley Brook Trail, we follow the trail down to and across Green Lane to Blackburn Brook. Crossing Ecclesfield Road we enter Woolley Wood to see the bluebells and smell the wild garlic.
After about 1 mile we descend from the wood and cross Ecclesfield Road for the final time to pickup the Trans Pennine Trail. We follow the TPT along to Station Road where we turn down Station Road and return to our start point.
This is an easy walk and the paths are good throughout the walk.
