We start at the Winter Green Pub walking down to the lake via the estate. We will follow the path over to the footbridge and walk beside Treeton Dyke, then we reach Retford Road where the short pavement walk commences. We will enter the recreation ground and pick up the path which will take us around part of the lake. We return to our starting point via the Waverley Estate for a well earned drink.
The walk takes in Treeton Dyke and Waverley Lake, there are many types of wildlife on route. It is a mainly flat walk on mostly man made paths with 1 bridge with around 8 steps each side. There is also some woodland, grassland and a little pavement walking involved.
