Walk description
Today’s walk is a ‘Bluebell’ woodland walk starting at Elsecar Heritage Centre. We walk along the canal and then in and around Simon and King’s Woods, where hopefully we will see the bluebells in their full glory. We then take tracks across fields and uphill over a couple of styles into Wentworth and up to the church. It’s then all downhill through the hamlet of Barrow, down Mill Lane and Burying Lane, around Elsecar Reservoir and back to the Heritage Centre.
