Walk description
Starting from the car park opposite Morrisons in Ecclefield, we make our way up Station Road and onto the Trans Pennine Trail. On reaching Grange Lane we turn up to join a path that takes us into Barber Wood. Care needs to taken whilst walking on Grange Lane as there are no pavements. Walking through Barber Wood until we reach Blackburn, we then turn down through the estate and under the motorway to join the Trans Pennine Trail again. After crossing over Grange Lane we turn down to walk at the side of Blackburn Brook before walking back along Green Lane to our start point. We pass the Travellers on the Common where we will make our stop for the optional de-brief.
This walk consists of pavements, good paths and tracks throughout. There are no stiles.
