Walk description

Beeley Wood Circular

This walk starts at the junction of Claywheels Lane and Limestone Cottage Lane. We walk towards Beeley Wood via Claywheels Lane then Beeley Wood Lane. We turn right onto a public footpath through Beeley Wood and over the railway bridge. Shortly after entering the woods again we bear right to take the Sheffield Country Walk and climb diagonally up the hill to a small footpath and then turn left towards Beeley Wood. We follow this path towards the woods and then turn right at the side of the woods to Whalejaw Hill (Jawbone as it’s known locally). We then take care descending Jawbone and at Coronation Park cross over and return via the bridleway alongside the River Don.
