Walk description
From the car park, we walk through Wadsley and Loxley Common, past Low Ash Farm and Bradfield School then down to Coumes Vale. After a short ascent there’s a steady walk past the Sisters of Carmel Convent before a short stop in the hamlet of Holdworth where you can buy home-made marmalade and fresh eggs from Angie’s farm (£3.00 cash only). Then, a short visit to Jean’s place at Spitewinter Farm with a chance to feed her chickens before heading back to the start.
This route may be familiar to some, and is designed as a steady introduction back into walking, as well as the chance to meet up once again.
