Date: Sunday, 2nd February 2020
Start time: 10:30
Grade: Moderate
Distance: 8.5 miles
Walk description
From the car park we take the easy track into Tideswell Dale following the pretty Brook Head. On reaching Litton Mill we head up to the Monsal Trail which we follow for some distance, passing along the way disused lime kilns. The old Millers Dale station gives us an opportunity of a toilet stop.
After crossing a viaduct, a grassy path takes us down to a bridge where we cross the River Wye. Then follows a stiff uphill to the village of Wormhill where we take our lunch break. Glorious views all around when crossing a series of fields to eventually drop back down into Tideswell, then on to the car park.
