Walk description
This is really pleasant woodland walk but does include some narrow muddy paths with tree roots to negotiate. From the start point we walk out of Armthorpe then cut across into the woods and into Sandal Beat from there we will climb up onto what was the old pit tip which has been landscaped and over 100,000 trees planted. Giving excellent views (weather permitting) of the surrounding area and walking down to retrace our steps back to the starting point.
Sandal Beat Woods are located just to the east of Doncaster and borders Doncaster racecourse as well as the nearby villages of Cantley and Armthorpe.
