Walk description
From the car park we do a slight climb to access a path that runs below Birchen Edge, but still with beautiful views. Crossing open land we then meander across Gardoms Edge (first passing ‘Three Men’) with its fantastic views, boulder strewn ground and birch woods. Via land which can be a bit boggy we then cross the busy A621 road and on to Jack Flatt where you can often see Highland cattle grazing, closely passing Wellington’s Monument. We take a gentle route dropping down into Baslow, with the chance of a toilet stop. Finally a walk through Chatsworth Park takes us back to the start.
