Walk description

Starting from the toilets / café at Rivelin, the walk goes right up the valley to the Old Post Office. Crossing Rivelin Valley Road we follow the A57 for approximately 200 yards before taking a path which brings us out opposite Rivelin Dams where we cross the dam wall. Depending on timings, this is where lunch will be taken. The walk then ascends via the river path through the stunning Wyming Brook valley. Note that all bridges have been replaced meaning the route is easily passable with care. After leaving the valley we follow the ridge line of The Craggs for approximately 1 mile to Lodge Lane. We then descend the road in single file for approximately 400 yards, care must be taken at this point. We join the path which takes us back down through the trees, crossing the A57 and eventually re-joining Rivelin Valley and the path to retrace our steps back to the start point.
