Walk description
This is a popular walk that starts from Mytham Bridge in Bamford. The route takes us through Shatton, past Elmore Hill Farm and along Brough Lane to reach Abney Moor. From here the route goes across open moor to reach Offerton Hall. From here it is a descent back to Bamford and the cars. The route uses paths which are a combination of asphalted road, loose stone tracks, grassy paths and open moorland. There is a steady ascent from Shatton to reach Abney Moor. From Abney Moor the route flattens out with a descent from Offerton back to the start.
