Walk description
Leaving the spectacular views of the viaduct at this superb vantage point, we drop down on to the Monsal Trail. We follow this disused former railway track for a short while then pick up a quiet lane into Cressbrook, a steady climb then up a road (no pavement) before passing cottages at Ravensdale. A climb up through more woodland eventually opens up to wonderful views down Cressbrook Dale. After the small village of Wardlow, we soon pick up the path over Longstone Moor, with an eventual downhill finish into Little Longstone.
