Walk description
Leaving the car park we cross the busy A6 road and enter the very pretty Monsal Dale. Following the River Wye to Monsal Head we have a stiff climb but well rewarded with fantastic views. On to Little Longstone and a short stretch on the Monsal Trail.
Leaving the trail we pass Churchdale Hall and into Ashford, where we stop for lunch. We leave the village via the old pack horse bridge and once again follow the river, passing an old mill, we enter Great Shacklow Woods, with another uphill, and eventually back down to the start.
