Walk description
After reaching Upper Hordron, we walk gradually up Near Cat Clough then head to the trig point on Outer Edge and onwards to lunch at Margery Hill, site of a Bronze Age burial mound (3300 to 1200 BC).
On a clear day, there are fine views of the Upper Derwent Valley.
After lunch, we head downhill on the well-defined path of Mickleden Edge then back to the start.
This is for walkers who want to try crossing some open moorland and small bogs in safety and at a pace to suit all.
