Walk description
From the car park we take the level path which is part of the Barnsley Boundary Walk, to turn into the woods alongside Hagg Brook. Down to cross the Little Don River and then a steady uphill on the Cut Gate Path which passes through the increasingly open moorland of Mickleden Edge. We cross Midhope Moors (which is very boggy in places), eventually reaching the ruins of North America Farm. Woodland paths and a little road walking beside the dam wall takes us back, via the reservoir and woodland path, to the car park.
Please note: The early start, due to potential parking problems, means that it will be necessary to have an early lunch stop.
