Walk description
From the start point, we cross the dam and take the track downhill crossing the back road. We carry on downhill until we get to Water Lane, before turning off up a single track through a wooded copse to meet the back road to Thornhill. After a short walk up the back road we ascend the path to Thornhill Carrs giving excellent views of the surrounding countryside (weather permitting). It is along here where we shall stop for lunch. After lunch we carry on across Parkin Clough, and drop down to join the footpath which leads us through woodland into New Barn. From here we pick up the footpath on the south side of Ladybower, which returns us to the start point.

Meeting point: Meet at the gates to Ladybower Reservoir Dam, Ashopton Road, Bamford, Derbyshire.
Parking: Heatherdene Car Park P&D, or on-road.
