Walk description
The walk starts in Wortley Village, proceeding past the church down the fields to Wortley Top Forge then we climb up Well Hill road to reach Green Moor Village. We turn left at the church and continue uphill, past the cricket pitch to the Isle of Skye viewpoint, where we have excellent views over Wharncliffe Woods, Deepcar, Stocksbridge and Bradfield and Broomhead Moors.
After a lunch break we continue down Hunshelf Bank before turning sharp left onto Park Lane, a mostly overgrown path which leads down to Tin Mill Ponds and the stepping stones over the River Don at Cherry tree cottages before retracing our steps back to Wortley Village, and refreshments at the Wortley Arms pub.
