Walk description
Starting from the crossroads at Howbrook this walk takes us to Wortley via Spout House Lane. We walk through the grounds of Wortley Hall and into Wortley Village. We explore the countryside via footpaths and then return to Wortley Hall for our lunch.
After lunch we walk to the Lodge and then through the woods and fields back to Howbrook.
Paths are well defined but care needs to be taken to avoid brambles and tree roots. There is some road walking. Walkers must stick to the footpaths where available and walk in single file where they are not. There are no stiles on this walk.
This is a moderate walk of approx 6.5 miles. It will take around 3.5 hours including lunch stop.
