The plan for the day is to complete the walk by lunchtime and have lunch in the Woodland Glade by the campfire and snowdrops. Hot snacks and drinks are available from the cafe or bring your own food if preferred. After lunch you can explore the 100 acres of woodland including 5 acres of snowdrops, and gardens at your own pace.
There is a £3 entrance fee into the grounds.
This year’s experience is described as winding back the clock, with ticket prices from the 1990’s. Rain or shine, the Estate will open daily for the short snowdrop season, offering a simple, pared-back experience – no marquee tearoom, plant sale or large coach parties – just birdsong, peace and quiet, with a gentle walk in the gardens and woods.
This is a pleasant flat walk on established tracks and paths on farmland surrounding the Hodsock Estate, starting and finishing at Hodsock Priory. For a full history of the house please visit their website.
