Walk description
This is a lovely walk through the countryside of High Green, Tankersley and Wentworth. We begin at Paces on Pack Horse Lane, High Green and walk up the hill through Thorncliffe Wood. We then walk along the side of the golf course to the church at Tankersley. We walk along Black Lane passing the ruined wall of Monastery Farm where Billie found Kes in the film of the same name. We continue through the village of Harley along Coach Road and on into Wentworth village where we stop for lunch.
We then return via Kirby Lane at Thorpe Hesley and back through the fields to Warren and then to High Green.
