Walk description
We start from the car park on Woodhead Road, Grenoside, and follow the track into Greno Woods branching off to the right following the path to Woodhead Farm. We follow Woodhead Road reaching the kennels where we pass through a gate and enter the Chase.
Reaching the top of the hill we should have some spectacular panoramic views. Walking over open grassland before reaching a path alongside the edge of Wortley Woods taking us down towards Deepcar. Near the bottom of the path we turn left by a small pond and follow the track up along to the Craggs. Leaving the Craggs we rejoin a path taking us back to another part of the Chase.
From here we follow a path to Wharncliffe Woods. Following paths through the woods we enter Wheata Woods before returning to the car park.
This walk is approx 6 miles and should take approx 3 hours including lunch stop.
