Walk description

These lesser known and quieter dales are rich in flowers and birds. From the village of Elton we enter the northern end of Gratton Dale. We walk through the dale to enter Long Dale. The walk along these dales is a pleasant shallow incline but can get a little muddy if foul weather has preceded us. The eastern and northern parts of the route cross numerous fields so expect a few stiles along the way, some exotic animals and the odd quiet country lane until we reach Anthony Hill and then back to Elton.
