Walk description
Starting from Old Glossop we take the old road towards Doctor’s Gate until we reach Crooked Clough, then up Gathering Hill to Higher Shelf Stones. We visit the B29 plane wreck, Hern Stones, Kissing Stones and then on to Bleaklow Head, following the Pennine Way as far as Torside Castle. Next it’s Glossop Low and a bit further down the hill we arrive at Cock Hill trig point. A short walk down past the quarry brings us back to the start.
This walk will take approximately 6 hours and could be a bit boggy if we have a lot of rain leading up to the walk.
