Walk description
Leaving Fox House, we skirt Longshaw Estate and then follow the lower path under Burbage South and North Edges to reach Upper Burbage. After a short break, we climb Higger Tor where we stop for lunch. After lunch we follow paths around Mother Cap to reach Surprise View car park. We will then use the sunken path to reach Burbage Brook at Padley Gorge, cross the B6521, returning to the Longshaw Estate and back to Fox House.
A familiar but always enjoyable walk.

Parking: National Trust, Longshaw Estate Woodcroft Car Park. A625 Owler Bar Road. Free to National Trust Members otherwise P&D. There is limited on street parking near Fox House Inn on A6187 Hathersage Road.
