Walk description
This is a brilliant walk exploring the north part of the Peak District alongside Dovestone Reservoir and exploring the edges high above it with epic views. The walk includes a grade 1 scramble up the side of Birchen Clough and stopping for views of Saddleworth Moor from the iconic rocks known as the ‘Trinnacles’, three large rocks jutting out as part of the Raven Stones. The walk continues along the edge, past Ashway Rocks, Great Dove Stone Rocks to Chew Reservoir, then to Alphin Pike before returning to Greenfield.

Parking: On-road parking along Manchester Road and Chew Valley Road. Please park considerately.
