This walk covers 5 parks in the north of Sheffield. Concord, Ecclesfield, Parson Cross, Longley and Firth Parks.
Starting from the car park of Concord Sports Centre we walk to the bottom of Concord Park before descending into Woolley Wood. Crossing Ecclesfield Road we pick up the TPT to take us to Ecclesfield Park. Walking through the park we exit to cross The Common at Ecclesfield and ascend Hartley Brook into Tongue Gutter. Leaving Tongue Gutter we then ascend into Parson Cross Park. Leaving this park via its South Easterly entrance we then cross Southey Green Road to enter Longley Park. This is where I anticipate lunch will be taken. After walking a wooded path at the side of the Northern General Hospital, comes our main section of road walking about half a mile in length to then enter Firth Park. From here its a gradual ascent back to our start point via Wincobank Common and the Flower Estate.
There are several options with this walk if you only want do part of it, by catching a bus at different points along the walk back to Sheffield or our start point at Concord Park.
